The local health district

Northern NSW Local Health District (LHD) provides a diverse range of public healthcare to over 300,000 residents across the district—from Tweed Heads to Grafton and out west to Tabulam—through 12 hospitals and multi-purpose services, 21 community health centres and other facilities.

The Tweed Valley Hospital will be a major referral hospital at the heart of the network of hospitals and community health facilities across the Tweed-Byron region.

The Tweed Valley Hospital will provide an increased level of service for the Tweed-Byron community. It will operate as part the public health network with Byron Central Hospital, Murwillumbah District Hospital and community health and other out-of-hospital services.
