The main works include the construction of the hospital buildings and other infrastructure on the hospital site. With the approval of the Stage 2 State Significant Development (SSD) application in June 2020, these works follow on from the early works and commenced on site in January 2021, following the award of the main works contract. Construction works for the Tweed Valley Hospital are expected to be completed late-2023, with the hospital anticipated to open to patients early 2024.
